How to Make Money in 2026 with ChatGPT 5.2
Here’s what you can do with ChatGPT 5.2
hatGPT 5.2 has just been released, and in this article, I will show you how you can make money using this new version.
We are going to see — 👇
Two practical methods to make money online, step by step, and test what ChatGPT 5.2 has to add to our existing ways of earning money online.
What’s New in ChatGPT 5.2
ChatGPT 5.2 was released on December 11, just a few days ago. Like any new release, OpenAI highlights benchmarks and improvements, and of course, they claim it’s their best model yet. However, benchmarks alone don’t tell the full story.
How good this version really is depends on what you’re trying to do. It may be excellent for developers or programmers, but it may not be suitable for other online income strategies.
That’s why I wanted to test it using methods I’ve already tried in older versions , ones that didn’t work very well before.
✅️ Testing: Method 1 — Selling Google Spreadsheets Online
The Idea
The first method is creating and selling Google Sheets spreadsheets. This was really very difficult to do properly with older versions of ChatGPT.
I asked ChatGPT 5.2 to — 👇
“Help me start a business selling Google spreadsheets, beginning with a detailed financial planning spreadsheet that looks professional.”
I intentionally used a simple prompt instead of an overly detailed one because,
In my experience, simple prompts often work better.
Turning the Idea into a Sellable Product
Initially, ChatGPT explained how I could copy the content into Google Sheets. However, I wanted it to actually create the spreadsheet file so I could import it directly into Google Sheets and sell it as a product.
This was a real test because older versions struggled badly with this task.
The Results

It was truly an impressive result. ChatGPT 5.2 took around 10–12 minutes, but the output was far more detailed than anything the older versions could produce.
It created a full spreadsheet system with:
- A dashboard for key performance indicators
- Setup sheets
- Transactions
- Budget tracking
- Monthly summaries
- Goals
- Debt tracking
- Net worth tracking
It also included clear instructions on how to import the spreadsheet into Google Sheets and how to use it.
How This Makes Money
Once you have this spreadsheet:
- Download the file.
- Create a simple PDF with instructions.
- Upload the product to platforms like Etsy, Gumroad, or your own website.
People are already making real money doing this.
On Etsy alone, many spreadsheet sellers have thousands of reviews, which shows strong and consistent demand for products like this.

You can create — 👇
- Budget planners
- Life planners
- Weekly and monthly planners
- Excel or Google Sheets bundles
ChatGPT 5.2 can help you replicate these products quickly and efficiently.
✅️ Testing: Method 2 — Selling AI Prompt Bundles
The second method is selling prompt bundles, something I tested using older ChatGPT versions with mixed results.
This time, I asked ChatGPT 5.2 to create advanced prompt bundles — 100 prompts across different niches.
Here, too, I kept the prompt intentionally basic, simple, and vague. The goal was to let ChatGPT think creatively instead of being overly restricted.
Initial Result: Basic but Usable
The first batch of prompts was fairly basic. While they could potentially be sold, they weren’t advanced enough to compete on major AI prompt marketplaces, where top-selling prompts tend to be highly detailed and specialized.
Improving the Prompts
To test ChatGPT further, I refined the instructions and requested more detailed, long-form prompts. This time, the quality improved significantly.
ChatGPT produced more advanced prompts suitable for:
- ChatGPT
- Midjourney
- Other AI tools
These prompts could now realistically be packaged and sold.
The Results
Here are a few snaps to show you what the results were — 👇

How Prompt Bundles Make Money
People regularly sell prompt bundles on platforms like PromptBase and similar marketplaces.
Sellers typically generate prompts in batches (50–300 at a time), bundle them together, and sell them as digital products.
If these prompt packages didn’t make money, people wouldn’t keep creating and selling them.
Which Method Works Better?
Both methods work, but one clearly stands out — 👇
Spreadsheet Templates, especially Google Sheets, are much more impressive with ChatGPT 5.2 and feel easier to turn into a real, sellable product.
Prompt Bundles also make money, but they require more refinement, and the competition is higher.
Author’s Note: Personally, I have put this income stream on hold for now, as I’m currently hectic exploring other ways to make money online.
